Invisalign® A Modern Innovation
Invisalign® takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series of aligners created for you and only you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements Dr. Ceraso plans out for you. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You just pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete. You’ll achieve a great smile with little interference in your daily life. The best part about the whole process is that most people won’t even know you’re straightening your teeth.
TMJ (TMD) Treatment
If you have been diagnosed with temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD), you have probably noticed that the more research you do about your condition, the more you find the acronyms TMD and TMJ used interchangeably. Many patients wonder what the difference is, or if there is one at all. TMD refers to the actual disorder in which your jaw joint is misaligned. Meanwhile, the joint itself – your temporomandibular joint – is abbreviated TMJ.
The temporomandibular joint itself is a ball-and-socket joint in your jaw. This joint makes it possible to open and close your mouth, or chew, talk, and yawn. When your jaw becomes misaligned from trauma or crooked teeth, these normal tasks can become painful, causing a wide range of symptoms that can affect your entire body. However, you are not alone. TMD affects as many as 15% of all Americans.
Exquisite Smile Make Over
There are a number of good reasons to have an attractive, healthy smile. We are drawn to people who smile. When someone is smiling they light up a room and make things happier. Smiling is also proven to boost your immune system, lower blood pressure and make you look younger! Thus, our “Smile Makeover” is one of the most important procedures we offer. Every cosmetic dental treatment performed by Dr. Ceraso to restore a smile begins with a “wax-up” or intra oral mock-up. The purpose of a wax-up is to give you a preview of the final result before the dentistry treatment is preformed and serve as a template to create the final dental restorations, including porcelain veneers, crowns, or implants. Using all aspects of dentistry, Dr. Ceraso can enhance your appearance in a manner which provides you with the confidence to smile exuberantly! It’s truly a life transforming experience.
Partial and Full Dentures that Last
Partial and full dentures replace teeth that have become loose or been lost due to bone loss or decay. Dr. Ceraso uses leading laboratories and the highest quality materials to fabricate our partials and dentures. The impression technique he employs is highly accurate to achieve the best fit of the appliance and provide solid facial support. His objective is to create an excellent denture result that appear “natural” looking and are largely undetectable.
Bridges Built to Last
Dental Bridges are used to replace a missing tooth or teeth when you have a tooth on either side of the space. Dr. Ceraso utilizes a high quality white gold substructure with natural appearing porcelain baked on it and creates a very strong all porcelain bridge. A bridge involves three or more teeth and are cemented to the natural teeth or implants surrounding the empty space. These teeth, called abutments, serve as anchors for the bridge.
Exquisite Dental Implants
Dental implant is a tiny screw made of titanium, a metal well accepted by the body. The implant is placed in the jaw bone to serve as a replacement root and provide a stable foundation for a new tooth. Restorations such as a crown , bridge or denture can be permanently attached.
Teeth in a Day!
When your open mouth appears to resemble a train wreck and seemingly hopeless, Dr. Ceraso’s amazing “Teeth in a Day” procedure can be your salvation. You are actually able to come into his office during the morning and have your teeth replaced with a solid fixed (non- removable) prosthesis that afternoon. In fact, this provides a much more conservative appliance than a full denture. Plus – the procedure is virtually painless. View and read the testimonials from our highly satisfied patients who have benefited from “Teeth in a Day!”
Tooth Colored Fillings
We offer the latest in composites and bonding technology giving you a natural looking, long lasting result. Tooth colored fillings are superior to the old-fashioned blackish mercury fillings of the past. They are less aggressive conserving tooth structure. Last as long and are virtually undetectable to the eye. They can be placed on posterior (back) and anterior (front) teeth. They bring your teeth back to a naturally aesthetic appearance in one visit.
Veneers are porcelain facings that give you a bright, white, and straight Hollywood “celebrity” smile by changing the color, shape or position of the teeth. This is done by removing a minimal amount of tooth structure from the face of the tooth then bonding a porcelain covering (like a contact lens) over the surface. Dr. Ceraso is famous for his excellence in creating long-lasting smiles.
Aesthetically Created Crowns
A crown differs from a filling, which is used to fill or cover only a part of the tooth. When there is too much tooth structure missing, a crown is recommended to cover the entire tooth (known as “capping”). Always focusing upon the highest “quality” for his patients, Dr. Ceraso utilizes crown material that is made from porcelain, metal alloys such as gold, or, in some cases, a combination of the two. This provides a very “natural,” aesthetic appearance for the tooth. Sometimes used in combination with dental bridges, a crown is designed to look like a natural tooth. On occasion, Crowns are referred to as a tooth cap, dental cap or simply a “cap.”
“Natural” Appearing Inlays & Onlays
Inlays and onlays are a less aggressive approach to restoring a tooth to its natural form. When a simple filling is not sufficiently strong and a crown (cap) is too aggressive, oftentimes an inlay or onlay is the correct choice. As with a crown, an inlay and onlay is made of porcelain or gold. In fact, they are just as strong as a crown, and will last as long. An inlay or only is often Dr. Ceraso’s first choice in skillfully restoring a large broken down tooth, because this treatment is more conservative and a cost-effective approach for the patient.
